2. Overview
Auto Face Swap processes your images, videos, and camera frames locally on your computer. Your media is not uploaded for face swapping, enhancement, or other face processing. Auto Face Swap sends us an image only when you choose to report it and explicitly confirm submission after seeing a preview. Only the image shown in that preview is attached to the report and sent through Sentry. Automatic technical error reports are separate and are explained below.
3. Data We Collect
3a. Crash Reports (Sentry)
We use Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) for automated crash and error reporting. When the application encounters an error, the following data may be transmitted to Sentry's EU servers (ingest.de.sentry.io):
- Device type and operating system version
- Application version
- Stack trace and exception details
- Session duration data
Automatic crash reports contain technical diagnostics, not your images, videos, or camera footage. These diagnostics may be sent when an error occurs even if you have not submitted an image report. Sending an image is a separate, voluntary action that requires your confirmation, as described in section 3c.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in maintaining application stability and fixing bugs.
3b. Device Capabilities Accessed
Auto Face Swap may access the following device capabilities with your permission:
- Webcam — for live face swapping and virtual camera features
- Microphone — for video recording with audio
- Pictures Library — for loading and saving images
- Videos Library — for loading and saving videos
Accessing these capabilities does not upload your media to us. The only media the app submits to us is the individual image you explicitly choose and confirm for an image report, as described in section 3c. If you use the virtual camera with another application, that application controls any subsequent sharing and has its own privacy practices.
3c. Report Inappropriate Content
The “Report Inappropriate Content” feature is entirely voluntary. The app shows a preview of the selected image and asks you to confirm before anything from that image report is sent. Opening the report dialog does not send the image. Choosing Cancel does not send it either. Only after you confirm submission is that image encoded as a JPEG and sent to our Sentry instance with technical information such as the OS and app version for review. The report does not upload your photo library, entire video, or live camera stream. If you do not submit an image report, Auto Face Swap does not send us your media. This reporting feature does not automatically screen or filter generated images.
3d. Microsoft Store
Purchases and downloads are handled by Microsoft through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policy: Microsoft Privacy Statement.
4. Data Retention
Crash reports are retained in Sentry for 90 days (Sentry default retention period). If you voluntarily submit an image report, the reported image and associated report information are also stored in Sentry for review.
5. Third-Party Services
Sentry (automatic error diagnostics and voluntary image reports) — hosted on Sentry EU servers (Frankfurt, Germany). For Sentry's privacy practices, see: Sentry Privacy Policy.
We do not use analytics, advertising networks, or social media trackers.
6. Cookies
